Accidents can happen, and Canto takes steps to ensure the content of your DAM is backed up in case any unforeseen events need to be reverted.   However, this is not a simple request, which is a last resort to acquire files that have no other way of being restored.   Please ensure you have made every other attempt to regain your content before sending off this request.   Rollbacks revert your Canto to its previous state, it will revert your DAM back to a previous time with all versions of content stored being of that reverted format.  Any settings, branding, or content added or changed between the time of rollback to this state, will need to be redone.

If you need to request a rollback of a Canto DAM solution, you can follow these steps:

  1. Contact databasics by emailing helpdesk@databasics.com.au.
  2. In the email, explain that you need to request a rollback of the Canto dam solution including your Canto Domain name, and URL.
  3. Specify the exact time and date that you would like the rollback to be performed, in your time zone. It is helpful to include the corresponding time in US Pacific time as well, to ensure that there is no confusion.
  4. Make sure to include any relevant information or details that may be needed to process your request, such as the specific assets that you would like to be redeemed.  We may contact you for further clarification and information.
  5. Keep in mind that the maximum time frame for a rollback is 14 days. If your request is outside of this time frame, it may not be possible to process it.

It is always a good idea to keep thorough records and documentation of any changes or updates made to your Canto DAM solution, as this can help if you need to request a rollback.
